Over the past few months it has been an honor and a pleasure working with all the artists who have volunteered their time and talent to beta test the Bodies in Motion site. The sketches, drawings, paintings, and studies will doubtless be adored in the Artwork section for a long while to come. I love them all and they each inspire me in their own way, but I would like to promote a select few of my favorites for special distinction in the ‘Best of Artwork’ feature.
The first is this composition, Gomi, by Calum Alexander Watt. I have followed Calum’s work for years now – his line work and design sense are, to me, among the best in the world. This piece references many Motions in the library (see if you can find all of them), but is linked to the “Asian Dance Cloth 3” motion in the library. Check it out to see other artists’ treatments of the same Motion.
